I tried it on myself without anesthetic cream, setting the power to 3 and using the largest tip. Although I did get a few very small burns, the sensation is of an electric shock; you can also see a small spark when it touches the skin, and then the classic smell of burnt chicken. It comes with single-use attachments and is easy to use. However, I recommend watching a video and only burning off the bumps or warts where you know you're not doing anything wrong. For unsightly moles and more serious issues, see a dermatologist.
