Great value and loving it so far. Easy to use. One thing to mention is with getting replacement heads is get the Dr pen brand. I bought some off brand and wow did they hurt!! The Dr pen brand was painless

Why A High Pain Threshold?
For one thing, they “recommend using numbing creams that have at least 5% Lidocaine”

The Instruction Guide also says:
“Please avoid taking anti-inflammatory medication, drinking alcohol, or taking fish oil tablets for the three days before your Microneedling treatment, as this will help minimize bleeding.”

Of course, that would also include Coumadin, lecithin, cayenne pepper… anything that thins the blood.

I recommend searching for the us drpen microneedling instruction guide and reading the whole thing before buying one of these Pens…

IS IT REALLY WORTH IT THOUGH?
YES it is.

BeautyHolic says that the cost for each Microneedling session is somewhere between $200 to $800. They also say that the Dr. Pen M8 is the #1 Best one available. And the Dr. Pen A6 is the #3 Best one. This seems unbiased as they do have another brand in Second Place.

BUT, using these Microneedling Pens Is Very Involved and Must Be Done Carefully. Here is The List of Things You Will Need Before Beginning…

YOU WILL NEED:

• Dr. Pen Microneedling device of choice
• A clean towel
• A brand new Microneedling cartridge
• Alcohol solution for sanitizing
• Cotton pads
• Serum, hyaluronic acid is recommended
• Optional - surgical gloves
• Optional - numbing cream

And Here A FEW OF THE MANY INSTRUCTIONS:

Wash your face twice…

Apply half a tube of numbing cream and leave it on about 30 minutes…

Use 60% alcohol mixed with purified water or 0.1 chlorhexidine to wipe off any remaining numbing cream…

Apply the hyaluronic acid serum to the area to lubricate the skin. The serum helps the needles to glide over the skin and prevent the pen from dragging.

AFTER THE MICRONEEDLING
It’s perfectly normal to experience redness, swelling, and pinpoint bleeding after your Microneedling treatment. This is nothing to worry about, as this reaction is normal.

DO I RECOMMEND ONE OF THESE PENS?
If you need it, Yes. But, it is very important to Follow ALL of the Instructions, and the Instructions are very specific.

I have had professional microneedling at $500/session. I loved the results, but I'm not going every other week or even every month at that price.

A few years ago, I bought a knockoff of this home-use pen. It was painful, scratched my skin, and caused more damage than anything else. After a few tries, I gave up. I have also used many miscroneedling rollers, both steel and titanium needles with mixed results. The needles get dull very quickly and then the whole roller has to be discarded.

Dr. Pen sets the gold standard for microneedling, and the product is well-designed and high quality. The needles are individually packaged to minimize the risk of bacteria and infection. (This was not the case with the knockoff.)

I have found some of these devices a little tricky to master thanks to non-intuitive user interfaces. The Dr Pen, conversely, has a straightforward UI, digital readouts, and easy adjustments. It takes some experimentation to figure out what works best (and what settings to use on different parts of the face/body).

My experience is that it takes about five sessions, each a few weeks apart, to see true results in terms of smoother skin texture, pore minimization, and scar treatment, and I'm not at that point yet, but looking forward to better skin...and saving thousands of dollars.

The instructions have a strange spelling mistake. “Afeter the procedure” . If it’s the real one then there would not be a misspelling. Also it says “do not apply to the man as follows”. All sorts of other bad English.

So far I am liking the quality and the price has been fair for the quality and I will be back to update my review upon getting more experience with this product

If you are considering getting into any sort of dermaneedling, Dr. Pen products are the gold standard of dermaneedling. You will receive a high quality product that is well made and safe to use. Works quite well and is easy to use.

Do start with the lightest of pressures and intensities until you get use to using this pen and what your skin is able to take. Also understand that different parts of your face or body will tolerate or need different settings. You'll figure it all out pretty fast and this is actually a pretty quick study.

Make sure that you keep your pen and cartridges clean to ensure safe administration, especially for those with more sensitive and problematic skin. Do not use this over any sort of open wounds, pimples or sunburn.

Unlike most dermaneedling pens that go up to the 5 level of intensity, this one goes up to 6. Honestly, that all sounds so Spinal Tap to me, as in going up to 11, but apparently, there is a difference. You'll see the RPMs listed here on the product page. Personally, I do like having those subtler breakdowns for different uses.

Do not expect miracles, especially early on, but with continued use, I know that I've come to see a difference in my skin. Especially with toning up the muscles along my face and jowl area. It's taken years off of my looks. Some of the differences will come with the particular skincare products that you use this pen with, so do be sure to match up something that is formulated more so for your needs. Definitely always use this pen with some sort of serum or moisturizer. It needs those to have something to penetrate into the skin.

Must also note that this comes with a compatible charging adaptor which I must commend the company for considering how many products these days expect you to already have your own. This way you have the right, safe, compatible adaptor to get you charged up and on your way to the world of dermaneedling.

This microneedling pen has everything you need to get started. I like it includes a nice little case for storage that easily holds a needle or two, the charger and pen. I also appreciate that it includes 6 needle sets. 3 16 needle bits and 3 36 needle bits.

The pen itself charges pretty quickly fresh out of the box. Took no more than an hour to go from a red light to a green light fresh out of the fresh on day one. The charging cord is also almost excessively long which I actually really appreciate!

The pen is simple and straight forward to use. It has a dial near the tip to control the needle depth ranging from 0 - 2.5. The main power button also controls the device speed which ranges from 1-6. Its also straight forward to apply the needle applicator. The manual has a nice little break down for different depths and speeds depending on thick or thick skin and the area in which you’re working on. (Cheek, nose, forehead, chin)

As for use you simply just essentially dab the pen across your face and the areas you’re trying to target. I used the pen across my entire face changing the depth as necessary. This was my very first micro needling experience so, that given I don’t have anything to compare it to. What I can say I am surprised the pain this pen cause. It really just feels like you’re stabbing your face with a bunch of needle. Which you really are. So naturally it is slightly uncomfortable. The pen rattles a good amount during use but I think thats natural and it didn’t effect my use of the device.

For me after use I did see subtle redness across my forehead and cheek bones. The redness for me did fade after an hour or two. The biggest surprise came the next morning when my skin looked significantly more supple, even and radiant! I’m surprised how effective this pen is after one use. Despite the pain during use, I am happy with this device and its results.

Lightweight Capri pajamas for summer; the fabric is thin but good for hot weather. These are inexpensive and actually cute. So hard to find summer jammies that are not short short Daisy Dukes.

The pen feels sturdy and high quality, and it is easy to operate and assemble. I'm using it on my face to improve my skin texture. The pen can also be used as part of a hair regrowth regimen and seems to have good results too.

TIPS: I put it at the .25 depth, and it was a bit uncomfortable but not painful. Going deeper (to around 1 mm) is recommended for the collagen boosting effects, but I'd need to use numbing cream for that! Use hyaluronic acid serum to help the pen slide on your skin and to help your skin heal - other types of serums typically aren't recommended. I did smaller sections of my face, going horizontal, then vertical, then diagonal. Don't put any harsh treatments (retinols, BHA/AHA, etc) for 5-7 days after doing this, just use super gentle products that are moisturizing and protective (sunscreen and moisturizer).

Just after the first use I saw an improvement in my skin texture. I'm excited to keep using this.
