First, this pen does more than just vibrate. It does move up and down, it just goes so fast that you can not tell. I bought one once off the auction site. It was a knockoff, only vibrated and did more damage than good. Professionals use and trust this pen! Anyway, because this pen moves so fast it may make gliding along the skin more difficult so I highly recommend a gel or hyaluronic acid. I also recommend lidocaine. You are essentially stabbing yourself hundreds if times. These little tears produce collagen, plumping skin and repairing it. It helps wrinkles, redness, acne and stretch marks. Don't expect results overnight, though. This takes patience and persistence. I've used rollers and manual wands for years. When I have stuck to it, I have seen huge improvements in my stretch marks. No, they will never go away, but they have shrunk and are thinner and not as deep. This pen will help new ones fade faster too. This pen is magical because it does the stabbing for you so fast you don't notice. Taking a roller to your face is hard, and many give up. This pen is portable and wireless which is fantastic. I hate cords but if it does die, you can also use it plugged in. It has six speeds, and you can adjust the depth to the area you are treating. Follow the recommendations, going too deep on your face can cause damage you don't want. This pen is well made. Each needle tip comes individually wrapped for hygiene. They are also easily bought on Amazon. If you have been looking for a derma pen, don't waste your money on the other ones!

 I got this Dr. Pen M8 micro-needling pen. It's their newest model so the difference between this pen and the Dr. pen A6 is that the M8 is definitely longer and it has a sleeker handle, it’s really easy to hold now the A6 the numbers where you can adjust the millimeters 0.25 goes up to 2.5 millimeters you can really see these numbers very easily but this M8 is hard to see/read. I wish that companies like this would realize that some eyes like mine can't see this, so that's kind of a drawback with this pen is that in order to see the millimeter I have to have my glasses on and it's still very hard to see while A6 you can easily read. The display on M8 is better and brighter than A6. You can very easily read the display. The cartridges of M8 are definitely thinner compared to A6, please keep in mind they are not cross-compatible with each other. There are not as many cartridge styles of the M8 so they have 16 pins and 32 pins and I really didn't see any other variation where the A6 has a ton of different pins.

The glide with these thinner needles is very easy and painless. love the design where it really is able to be held almost like a pencil and I felt like I had a lot more control in holding the pen in my application the glide of the thinner needles I thought was superior.

If you're just looking for like a basic pen keep it at a cosmetic needling or even go up to up to a one millimeter and you have thin skin and you've been hesitant to do it I think that m8 is a great choice.

I have had microneedling done in the salon several times. It is typically a semi-painful experience but the results are well worth it. However, it is expensive (typically $125+). When I saw this at home kit, I really wanted to try it. I will say that it is pretty comparable to what I get in the salon. I have used this twice in the last month. Not that easy, for me anyway, to do this on my own face. I have a tendency to 'take it easy' on the areas that I think may be sensitive, so I did not concentrate on all the areas the same. I used some great serum here as the base and my skin did feel amazing after use. I did convince a girlfriend to try this tonight, figure it might be easier if we each do it on each other's face. Other than my not being able to do it to myself properly, I highly recommend this microneedling pen.

The pen has adjustable depths and speeds which make it easy to adjust to the different areas of your skin. I would recommend looking up a microneedling chart that explains what depth to use on different parts of your face. In terms of microneedling the hairline, I stuck with targeting my temple areas, but did not use any product. This was my first time using a device like this and it was not difficult. I would definitely recommend the Dr Pen M8 to anyone interested in dipping their toes into the world of mirconeedling.

This is a nice size for a cosmetic pen. It fits easily in my hand and feels balanced and well made. I just use it briefly now and then because, even though it is fairly gentle, i dont really like the sensation. It will probably take some time to see results, but in the short term, it seems to help keep pores open without any bad effects. So, why not five stars? Because it only comes with 8 needle cartridges that say they are single-use. How do i get more?

 This is my second microneedle device from Dr. Penn. The first one I thought was really nice and professional looking. It worked well. This one however is way nicer. I love that this closet with a case and even a little sleeve to put it in. This company really has good quality products.

This is a professional type device. If you do not have experience and know how to use this then I would not recommend trying it out on yourself for the first time. You can permanently scar your skin if you do not know how to use this device properly.

I had previously used the Dr. Pen Ultima N2 with great results and this Ultima M8 doesn't disappoint. The M8 has a premium build and quality feel to it. The rounded body is comfortable to grip. The adjustment barrel has a gradual, tactile feel to it and a range from 0 to 2.5 mm to finetune. The 6 speed selection is handy for different parts of the face. It runs smoothly and quietly as well.

The derma pen uses a bayonet mount system for the microneedle cartridges. It is sturdy and easy to use. A total of 8 cartridges are provided: one pair for each of the 4 different pin-counts. They come individually sealed in sterile packages. They are quality cartridges as expected.
